Ecoburn 7

The Ecoburn range of stoves are cleanly designed steel stoves with gentle curves and rounded corners where one usually expects straight hard edges and corners. An Ecoburn stove grate can be set for burning coal or for burning wood, a clever technique invented by Aarrow. Set for burning wood the grate is closed and the primary air (the control for which is at the bottom of the door below the Aarrow logo) is directed over the fuel. With the Ecoburn grate open the stove is in coal burning mode and the primary air passes up through the fuel as is necessary for burning coal. At the top of the stove above the door is the control for the airwash / secondary air - this provides a flow of preheated air that washes over the window to help keep it clear. This air also provides a supply of oxygen to the top of the firebox allowing the combustion of unburnt flue gases when burning wood, which means Ecoburn stoves are cleanburning.

Aarrow Ecoburn stoves have stainless steel baffle plates which will last longer than steel. This is an important consideration as a baffle plate is a stove part that will eventually wear out and need replacing. The Ecoburn ashpan and cover are also made of stainless steel which means they will last longer and look better too.

On the back leg of Ecoburn stoves is a clever little movable metal leveller which let's you get the stove level when you install it (no more need for 2p coins which is what I have often used to get stoves nice and level). The Ecoburn stoves come in a matt black finish with a silver coloured nickel plated handle and there are optional low and high canopies available as well as a stand which raises the stove higher up. Two types of window tracery are available (gothic or lattice) which give the Ecoburn stoves a more traditional feel and a convection kit is can be used to make the outside of the stove cooler to the touch.

All the Aarrow Ecoburn stoves are very controllable and can be shut down to slumber burn although we do not recommend this as it tends to increase deposits in the stove and chimney and is an inefficient way of burning.

Add in backboilers are available which will let you power radiators and/or domestic hot water using your Ecoburn stove. Please see specific details for each model of Aarrow Ecoburn stove below.
